The xenon lamps heat the samples to around 1000°C immediately after lighting. When growing materials below 1000°C, it is possible to grow low-melting-point samples by changing the light intensity by adjusting the spacing of the shielding tubes. The spacing of the shielding tubes can be adjusted externally even during growth.
