This is a small, desktop polishing machine that uses the Oscar system. The processes of rough polishing and final polishing can be performed easily.

The sample is mounted on a 3-axis goniometer stage, allowing the crystal orientation to be identified using X-rays, and then the sample can be loaded into the cutting device while maintaining that crystal orientation, allowing for cutting.
A peripheral diamond blade is used, and the amount of load required for cutting can be adjusted, allowing for safe and accurate cutting.
