We have started selling YIG(Y3Fe5O12) single crystals, which exhibit high transmittance in the near-infrared to mid-infrared wavelength range.

YIG (Y3Fe5O12)

YIG (Y3Fe5O12) single crystal has the Faraday effect and the property of rotating the polarization plane of light. It also exhibits high transmittance in the near to mid-infrared wavelength range, so it is mainly used as an isolator material for 2050nm and 4550nm.

Features
Low absorption YIG single crystals exhibit high transmittance from the near-infrared to mid-infrared range, making them extremely useful as optical devices.
High quality YIG single crystals are grown by using the floating zone (FZ) method, which allows for the production of high quality single crystals, since no impurities are introduced during crystal growth.
